Electrical Requirements


	觸電危險維修之前要切斷電源。操作之前安裝好全部部件和控制板。否則可能導致傷亡或觸電。 Electric Shock Hazard Disconnect power before servicing. Replace all parts and panels before operating. Failure to do so can result in death or electric shock.

　　如果您不具備正確安裝本熱水器電氣線路的基本技能，請停止安裝，而是請有資格認證的電工來從事安裝工作。


	火災危險要采用適當尺寸的實心銅線。要采用通過美國UL認證的應變消除裝置。將地線連接到綠色的底線螺絲上。否則可能導致傷亡、火災或觸電。 Fire Hazard Use proper size solid copper wire. Use a UL approved strain relief. Connect ground wire to green ground screw. Failure to do so can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.

　　If you lack the necessary skills required to properly install the electrical wiring to this water heater, do not proceed, but have a qualified electrician perform the installation.

　　When making the electrical connections, always make sure:

電源供應具備適當的過載保險絲或斷路器保護。
The electrical supply has the proper overload fuse or circuit breaker protection.
電線大小和連接符合所有相關規定。
Wire sizes and connections comply with all applicable codes.
電線包裹在經過認可的導管內（如果當地有關規定要求的話）。
Wiring is enclosed in approved conduit (if required by local codes).
熱水器和電源供應都有適當的接地。
The water heater and electrical supply are properly grounded.

　　圖３，4和5僅僅為120/240伏、2線型號提供參考接線圖。為了正確進行電氣連接，請隨時注意參考位于熱水器上的接線圖。
　　Figures 3, 4, and 5 are provided as reference drawings for the 120/240v 2-wire models only. Always reference the wiring diagram located on the water heater for the correct electrical connections.

　　When installing the electrical wiring to the water heater:

在進行任何電氣連接之前，請確保熱水器已經住滿水。（參閱圖2）
Be sure tank is completely filled with water before making any electrical connections. (See Figure 2)

Shut off the power to the unit.
卸下熱水器頂部接線盒蓋上的固定螺絲。把蓋子放在旁邊。
Loosen the screw holding the junction box cover to the top of the water heater. Set the cover aside.
遵守當地供電部門的要求和相關的規定將電源線連接到熱水器上。作為標準配置，在接線盒上有一個1/2英寸的開口，用于導管連接。
Connect the electrical supply to the water heater in accordance with local utility requirements and codes. A standard 1/2 inch opening has been made in the junction box for conduit connections.
通過將電氣部件上的接地端子連接到熱水器接線盒里綠色接地螺絲上，實現熱水器的接地。
Ground the water heater by connecting a grounding wire from the electrical service ground terminal to the green grounding screw in the junction box of the water heater.
